I have had the same issue at least once a week (sometimes more) since i got FIOS. Both of my boxes reboot themselves at their own will. After they have finished rebooting, i have no access to the guide or video on demand. I then contact Verizon and we perform a series of unplugging coz cable, rebooting the router, rebooting the set top box, etc. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. i take that back, it usually never works until the 4 person or so. Recently, the picture on my tv flashes as well. How do i stop the self rebooting and flashing?
