I'd called tech support earlier today because I'd setup a sub account for my roommate so she could watch TV Online, but when she tried to watch Homeland on Showtime Anytime she got an error about parental controls.
So I went back and logged in as me and set parental controls for her account and it still didn't work. Initially I just assumed it was a 24 hour update delay or something, but after a week it still wasn't working.
So today I setup a brand new sub-account and try again, this time doing it myself. I get the same error on Showtime, so I call tech support and they can't figure it out but I'm a trouble shooter so while I'm on with Verizon support I try another Verizon TV online provider with R rated content and it works fine. So it's narrowed down to a Showtime issue, then I notice that when logged in to Showtime there is a SETTINGS tab under the login name and I click on that and see a PARENTAL CONTROLS tab, so I click on that and it tells me I can't do anything because I'm logged in under a sub-account. So I log back in as myself and go to settings and then parental controls and it tell me to go to Verizon to manage and gives me a link, TO A PAGE I'D NEVER SEEN BEFORE... http://my.verizon.com/central/portlets/externalWidgets/FiOSTVOnline/partnerSite/FiOSTV.jsp
and what do I see? the sub-account in question is set to TVY (here not even TV G lol) so I give her max access. It took about 10 minutes to take effect so the tech agent who was trying to help me didn't know it worked, but it did.
Here is where Verizon's site directs you setting to parental controls on sub-accounts:
