I happened to bring up on a sports channel that I do no subscribe to on FiOS TV the other day. I got a screen offering to subscribe me, and I was curious to see what the package was (even though I had no interest in subscribing) so I pushed the OK button. The system was not responding and I'd been having problems with the remote, so I hit OK again a couple of times after several seconds of nothing happening. Eventually after maybe a minute I saw a bunch of stuff popping up on my screen and I believe that it said that I had subscribed to some package, which clearly I had not intended to do.
I just logged into the Verizon website and I do not see myself subscribed to any optional packages (I have Ultimate so it shows one sports package included). I never received an email saying I had subscribed to something. I don't want to be surprised when I get my next bill. What can I do to make sure I haven't really been subscribed to something I don't want?
As an aside, if I was able to accidentally subscribe to a package I don't want by pushing a SINGLE BUTTON a few times, what's to stop some 5 year old with the remote from doing the EXACT SAME THING??? It seems to me that a process that involves ordering something that costs money should AT MINIMUM require pushing two different buttons to show that you're reading instructions. What would a local consumer affairs report do with a story that showed how simple it was for said 5 year old to sign up for stuff without their parent's permission? And shouldn't I receive an email as soon as the change is made? I got email the following day when I added an International data plan to my Verizon Wireless account.

Since you have the Ultimate package it's possible you subscribed to something that is included in that package, but still requires you to go through the subscription process. There are a few like that. If you did order something else, it should show up in a couple of days at most.
If you are concerned about children ordering something, setup a parental control/purchase PIN. Then no one will be able to place an order without that PIN.
