You must re-record them in real time to an attached DVD, Blu-Ray, or VHS recorder.  Type "save recorded dvr" into the Ask The Community search box at the top of this page and you will find many detailed sets of instructions.  Note that unless you use a Blu-Ray recorder you can only save material in SD format, not HD.
