I have the FiOS TV Local service package. Recently, my TV has started changing the channel on its own. I'll be watching one channel and then suddenly I’ll be on a different channel. The transition is so seamless that I sometimes don't even know it has occurred. There are a couple of reasons why I think the problem may have to do with the feed rather than the television set. First, the problem has only started happening within the past couple of weeks. Second, it only happens during the transition from show-to-commercial or commercial-to-commercial. My theory is that the TV thinks it has lost the signal (maybe when the broadcast switches from HD to SD and vice-versa), so it switches to a different channel.
I tried auto-programming my channels again. I also tried unplugging my TV for four hours.
Has anyone heard of this problem before?
