TV screen freezes

Have just switched to Verizon from Comcast.  While watching a TV show the screen will occasionally freeze for no reason. Continues frozen until TV is turned off, then turned back on.  Not happy aobut this since everything I've read said Verizone was a better service than Comcast.  Suggestions?

Reboot the router, the ont, the stb/dvr, check coaxial connections, check any splitters (usually the issue....was mine when I had one) and if none of that fixes it call tech support.

Is your internet working ok?

Press Menu=>Customer Support=>Top Support Tools=>Self Diagnostics=>Start and press the OK button. Did anything fail? If so what?
