TWC HDTV looks to be better than FIOS

I noticed that TWC HDTV picture quality is better that Fios. I remember watching sports event in TWC and the players and ball seems to be much more clearer and pop out of screen to put it midly but with Fios, ti looks clear but not as sharp especially when the players are zoomed out. Colors are much more brighter too with TWC and it seems to take longer for the Fios to focus. Is there anyone that noticed this too? I mean those who switch from TWC to fios. If there is a solution can anyone share that too? Thanks

Where I am TWC is horrible compared to fios. With the new media server you get full 1080p and the picture is sharp.

There are to many factors to say why twc would be showing better for you. Could be the video processing, the way everythings connected to your house, coax, splitters, equipment, the ont itself, location, etc..

That was definetely not my experience, and I had three TWC tech's out trying to get it to match DTV let alone FiOS.

From my experience the Set top box can only do so much.

There are a few sharpness settings and Resolution settings, so you should check those, but the rest is your TV.

Most people, when they get a new tv or cable service, play with the settings, to adjust for sharpness and color etc.

If you think you've done a lot of the menu items, try playing with your TV settings and see -  My guess is that when you got TWC you did exactly this, and tuned your tv for their service, but may or may not have done that when you got FiOS.  You should take a few minutes and do that.
