Verizon FIOS can't deliver HD reliably

Why should I be paying for HD when Verizon FIOS can't deliver it? ESPN, ESPN2, TNT ... when I want to watch, suddenly there's no picture, no sound, and rebooting works only every six or seventh time? Why shouldn't I get a discount, if Verizon FIOS can't deliver HD? Why should I pay to rent an HD box that can't give me the channels I want to see?

You might have a signal issue. Turn to the channels that does not work. Then load the diagnostic.

Menu>customer support> system information and then press menu button. Under channel info the snr value should be good, carrier lock true, and short term error count 0. If the values are anything else, reseat the coax lines or replace your splitter. The issue could be the cable box. You can rule out the box by moving it to a room that doesn't have an issue. If it works fine in another room, then the problem is the line.
