Verizon Stream TV Soundbar Audio Delay

I recently purchased the Stream TV Soundbar as part of a promotion for signing up for Fios. I’m running into audio delay issues with my Samsung QN55Q6FNA TV. The audio delay is very noticeable when I’m playing Xbox on the TV and have the soundbar set as the audio output device. It is connected via HDMI the the ARC port on my TV. If I switch the audio to the TV speakers the delay goes away. I tried contacting Verizon tech support but they couldn’t help me and referred me to Bang & Olufsen tech support. B&O doesn’t support this model so they referred me back to Verizon. Has anyone else encountered this issue and been able to resolve it? I’ve searched online for potential solutions but no luck. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Check for issues here:

https://knowtechie.com/heres-how-to-set-up-a-soundbar-to-work-with-your-xbox-series-x/

Or this:

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/display-sound/choosing-speaker-audio-output

Also this:

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/display-sound/video-settings

And make sure the input you are using on the TV is setup to support 4K UHD video in the Video input settings menu. It should have something like Extended color enabled. From the User manual for your TV:

Viewing UHD videos
Settings General External Device Manager HDMI UHD Color Try Now
If an external UHD player is connected to the TV, use the HDMI UHD Color function to convert the TV's HDMI
connector to a mode optimized for the UHD 50P/60P signals.
" When you select the HDMI connector you want to use for HDMI UHD Color, and then press the Select button to set the
HDMI UHD Color function to On, the TV screen flickers.
" The HDMI connection with HDMI UHD Color set to Off supports up to UHD 50P/60P 4:2:0 input signals, while the
HDMI connection with HDMI UHD Color set to On supports up to UHD 50P/60P 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 input signals. For more
information, refer to "Supported Resolutions for UHD Input Signals."
" When you connect the TV to an external device that supports only the UHD 24 or 30 Hz frequency or any FHD frequency, the
HDMI UHD Color function may not be available. In this case, set HDMI UHD Color to Off.

And look here in the Samsung settings: Settings> Sound> Expert Settings>Audio Delay

Also there was a firmware update for your TV, look here: https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model/QN55Q6FNAFXZC/

Is there a way to run an HDMI or optical cable from the X-Box to the soundbar directly and switch to that when playing games?

Thanks for the reply. The soundbar doesn’t have an optical audio port unfortunately. And I tried connecting the Xbox through the soundbar but I lost access to most of the enhanced video features and was locked at 1080p 60hz, even with the game mode option enabled on the soundbar.

Which one do you have, the basic or the Pro? Have you looked into the Video settings on the soundbar to make sure the input you are trying to use direct from the X-box is set to 2160P? Is there a device setup in the X-box settings for output resolution? The soundbar is capable of passing a 4K HDMI signal through its inputs.
