My STB got wet in the rain (near a window) and is now not working. Is there hope that it will dry out and work again?

from my experience there is "hope" - just leave it in the sun or direct light for some time, but if it doesn't work, you should be able to get a replacement. they usually do even steven exchanges. so send the old one back, and they send you a new one. do it tonight or tomorrow, otherwise you might have to wait until monday or tuesday. i have had problems with weekend deliveries.

Definitely unplug it from the wall outlet before doing anything!!!

Sometimes less information is more ...
Your STB is not working? Sounds like you should call tech support and have them troubleshoot it. They'll probably conclude something is wrong with it and send you a new one (you'll use the box is comes in to return the old one). Not sure if failed equipment exchanges are subject to the $19.99 mail service fee or not -- or you can simply take the box to a local FiOS office and exchange if it there is one near you.
