I've now spent about two hours today on hold during follow-up phone calls for my cablecard installation that was supposed to happen between 8 a.m. and noon today. After my third (or is it now fourth? I can't keep up any more) phone call, I was told, "Well, they're not coming out today."
I TOOK A DAY OFF WORK TO RECEIVE SERVICE FROM A COMPANY THAT I PAY OVER $200 EACH MONTH ... that statement is ridiculous enough ... I shouldn't have to take a day off when I am the customer paying $2500 each year.
Now I'm told, "They're not coming."
I've been trying to reach them all day ... I'm in Northern Va ... the phone calls have taken me to Dallas (and who knows where else) ... and no one will tell me how to contact someone up here.
I'd switch to Comcast in a heartbeat, but they suck, too.
I'm open to suggestions.

Hi,
I was supposed to have a technician at my house this morning between 8 and noon. It is now 1:45 ... and, you guessed it, NO technician has shown up. At 12:40 (after ~30 minutes on hold at the 888 number), I was told to expect a call within 20 minutes with an ETA. Well, you guessed it, at 1:15, I still had not received a call ... so, another 20 minutes on hold at the 888 number to be told I can expect a call within an hour.
Verizon has held me hostage at my house, and apparently my only recourse is to be on hold for cumulatively an hour to be told that I should sit and be held captive even longer.
I completely understand running late, but I want to be informed.
I had to take a day off from work ... and it was supposed to be just a morning. (I'm having a cablecard installed ... that takes ~15 minutes.)
So, if anyone has any numbers that would work (I'm in northern VA), I would appreciate it.
As it is, I'm held hostage by Verizon
