why does FIOS seem to break every thing that worked

first they destroyed the 50k of valid news groups because 9 of had child porn all in the.alt area which was the only unmonitered area insted of just killing those groups which I have no problem with but they killed the .rec group,  microsoft and unix groups and left the so called big 6 which nothing is ever posted to.

next they took out the ability to check or uncheck chanels and said favorites did that but that not true as it a whole lot easyer unchecking the chanels you never watch and favorites get wiped every time they reset the box or the power go out which happens so much in tampa I do not even set up favorites any more

now they screwed up there web page so I had to call to reset a pass word as you no longer have a page under the master account to reset or change passwords any more

FWIW, I just logged into My Verizon (and I am account master),

I clicked on Profile (left side just below middle)

At the top row is Account Settings with a "Manage" box on the right.

Clicked on Manage.

Then a box labelled "Password and Security" appeared on right,..

Clicked on that and I was able to change password.

Hope this helps.

Also FWIW, when my Set Top Box (STB) has been powered off or rebooted or had its sotware updated, many times over two years and I always have my Favorites return....never have I lost them.    I use "Favorites 1" and my kids use

"Favorites 2".  My boxes are QIP-7216 Home DVR and QIP-7100 HD STB.  Not sure why you would lose yours...Do you have an old box????
