Worthless Small TV Set Boxes

I have had nothing but issues with the small tv boxes. They reinit and loose any functionality and then I have to go through Verizon to reset them (which takes forever) and in every case I am told one of two things...we don't need to provide you a way to reset it yourself because it has its been resolved and wont happen again (ie latest firmware, reinit, etc etc) or the latest is there must be a problem with your home cabling.....I am paying money each month for boxes that don't work most of the time. Now that the issue has continued the solution is for me to pay a technician to come and resolve it....The small boxes are worthless and I see repeatedly that folks are having the same problems. Verizon needs to provide their customers with boxes that function and at the minimum can be reset by the home owner versus having to go through them over and over...(I'm not having issues with the large box no matter which tv I attach it to but the small boxes reset almost nightly/drop connection and can not be used until reset by verizon). You need to upgrade your equipment versus put the burden on the paying customer to have to drive to swap out faulty boxes or insist its the homeowners issue versus an equipment issue

What small boxes are you talking about? Verizon has several boxes. Are you talking about the Motorola DCT-700 digital adapters?
