10/2 Internet Tier and TV Services

Hello,

My name is Cora and as a new member to this community, I have a few questions.  But first, I thank everyone involved that put together this forum.  Although I must admit to not having any hair pulling experiences with Verizon in the last 10 years, it is definitely easier to come to this forum and research or ask a question rather than calling Verizon, going through a maze of phone prompts and waiting for an agent.

First, I was surprised to read in another forum of the DSL upgrade Verizon is offering to its customers; 1M from up from 768k.  I chatted, requested the upgrade and was told it would take approximately 2 to 3 days.

Now reading through the threads I came across something called a 10/2 internet tier.  Can someone please explain this to me.  Also, does Verizon offer cable tv or something similar?

Finally, has anyone experienced a drop in internet speeds at certain times of the day, every day?

Thank you,

Cora

The 10/2 tier you are referring to is a FiOS tier not a DSL tier.
