Confusing Return Equipment order page

I've been on FIOS since 2008, not a newbie.

I wanted to return 1 (HD Set Up Box) out of the 2 boxes (the one I am keeping is Mult-Room DVR - don't want to lose my recorded shows), but the return page combines the add/remove function in the web page and what gets generated is:

Action Activity

New (rent): 2 TV equipment package    (why generate this?)

New:  Multi-Room DVR service        (why generate this?)

New (rent): HD Set Top Box     (why generate this?)

Remove (rent):  HD Multi-Room DVR     (why generate this?)

Remove (rent):  HD Set Top Box      (This is all that I wanted)

Estimated Monthly Charges

New Multi-Room DVR Service  $15    (is this cheaper because now I only have 1 box?)

New (rent): 2 TV equipment package $19.98  (why generate this?)

New (rent): HD Set Top Box 11.96  (why generate this?)

The estimated bill ends up HIGHER.   I didn't go through with the order.   I will return directly to Verizon store and have them take it off.

It's supposed to be very simple with 1 removal request.

Pricing plans have changed.

Looks like it is trying to move you to a new pricing plan as part of your change.

I just returned the box to the store and got a return receipt.   It has my account information.

The question is will the billing system automatically remove/deduct this box from my billing or is the return receipt simply to recognize the item has been returned?    Account services still list the box in my account, I will check again tomorrow (or see if I can get on online chat)

Waiting for all the bugs on the Quantum DVR to be ironed out.

It can take a couple of days for equipment removal to show online.

Keep your receipt to showed that it was returned and when.
