where can i go to find out if/when fios or dsl will be available to me?

i live in a very rural area with no cable.  verizonz websire always says its not available we will email you when.

well 3 years later i still get the same thing

will they ever say when they are adding new area?

its not really that hard to put in a dsl repeater.  and i see fios being installed by the electric coop for meter reading.

does verizon ever announce thier plans?

That tells you mostly all the construction sites for april in maryland. If your area is not on there, check back in a month and there will be a new list at www22.verizon.com/about/community/md website.

If you really live in a rural area, like no house for miles, then it will probably be a very long time before you see it, if ever.  Think of the cost of running fiber to rural areas.  They have only been doing this for a couple of years now and it has to be expensive.  If I were them, I'd be running it first to densly populated areas to get some revenue going to pay for future fiber growth.   Just my way of looking at things.

I feel your pain because I'm in a rural area as well.  My cable company is my only choice...can't get over the air..too far from major city and satellite isn't an option unless I plow down some trees.  Not likely.

Phone, internet and tv all starting at $99.99+taxes and surcharges and addons. Should still be cheaper than most companies, but quality is muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh better.
