FIOS

How come in the 21st Century  I cannot get any form of internet service? Itbafles my mind that someone accross from my street address on route 32 in the Town of Newburgh has FIOS and I cannot.  There are poles where the telephone and electric lines run but for some reason large companies making millions in profits are not willing to provide service to families on my road. What is the cost to run lines and poles on a road to eight homes? Thinking to the long term return on investment to a company seems like a reasonable reason to provide service. What is Verizons stand on this

I know what you mean. Not far down the road from me they have high speed intranet and I can't get it either. Dial up is so slow that it takes me forever just to download Verizon's site. If they ran it to where I live there would be around 100 more customers on high speed. I no how you feel, and I am with you.Woman Frustrated
