Is it possible to request FiOS?

I was just wondering if it's possible to request FiOS in my area. Currently I have AT&T, and I'm not getting what I pay for so I want to switch to Verizon, but it's not available. So please help me on this one, thanks in advance.

If AT&T is the big boy in town, then it's unlikely that Verizon will be in the neighborhood.  You can check availability at www.myverizon.com, and you can view your community page at www.verizon.com/pa     (substitute PA with whatever your state abbreviation is, I.E. ca, md, va, ny etc....)

Scan all the links, one of them is usually a Fiber Construction Schedule, and you can see if your city or street name is included in the list.    Not all states have that, but most do.

Thanks for the awesome link! Can't believe I didn't know about it sooner...

I had some trouble getting to the TX page with that link, but was able to follow the PA link past the redirect and *then* change the state, and that worked. So for anyone who wants it, the eventual link was:

http://www22.verizon.com/about/community/tx/

Also, it appears you can get there by going to http://www22.verizon.com/about/community and clicking your state.

Here's an updated link:

http://www.fiosfinder.com/availability/

Just click on your state, then select your community from the drop-down list.
