Outlook set up problem

I am trying to assist a neighbor with their mail set up.  They use the yahoo.verizon mail server and have had no issue sending and receiving mail using outlook express.  They recently up graded to outlook and can receive mail, but can not send.  all sends are returned with comment transport server can not be located.  Outoging server is sut up as outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net the same as it was with express.  Everything looks the sameas express except in set up I did not see a box to check for use same user name and password for outgoing mail.  Anyi deas.

You need to allow authenication. From the account settings screen. Click on More Settings -> Go to the Outgoing Server Tab, and check "My Outgoing server requires Auth.."
