I just recently joined the Verizon family and admit I was extremely nervous after reading so many complaints on this board.  While I have only had the service a few days here is what I have encountered thus far.

1.  Great service both with ordering the triple package.

2.  Outstanding technician that came by to do the install and explain the many different functions.

3.  Outstanding follow up after the installation.

Bottom line while there are people that have taken the time to complain whether legit or not there aren't many that have taken the time to share positive experiences.  While new right now I'm extremely happy.

It's good remember that few people comment when they're "happy", but many are quick to complain when something is not right.  So it would stand to reason that's why you always see a lot of complaints here ... the happy customers are off surfing the internet or watching TV.

It's good that you started off with a positive experience.  Granted that I don't necessarily understand all of the complaints that are posted here, it's really a mixed bag when you are dealing with customer service and tech support.  You will get some who are really on the ball and others who really don't know what they're doing.  I'm not saying this to discourage you but realistically, that's often what happens and it's not just with Verizon but with the cable companies as well. Hopefully you won't have any problems.  For the most part, Verizon is pretty reliable and you definitely get what you pay for.  I'm not sure if it's necessarily better than the cable companies but it does deliver on the service that you're paying for.

I have posted about some issues that I have had with Verizon but I do also post about positive experiences whenever I can.  Some people will complain no matter what and I think you're bound to find that all over.
