Hi,

After 10 years with Verizon DSL, I canceled my service.  The DSL connection continued to disconnect.  I called into the tech support hotline a few times over the weekend but couldn't get the issue resolved and we each had much difficulty understanding each other.

I called to cancel the service today and the representative explained that calls are processed by a different tech group during the weekend and that he can provide me with a toll free phone number that would connect me with a local technician - even on the weekends.

It sounded like a good offer but I already made the switch.  If you're thinking about leaving for the same reasons, give Verizon a call and ask for the local technical support hotline.  The local technicians are great!
