DSL speeds

I'm only getting about .74mb/s speed with a Westell 6100 modem, with Verizon DSL. To me, this is terrible, compared to other speeds. How can I improve it?

#1 Is your computer directly connected to this modem OR is it connected indirectly?

#2 If "indirectly", we may need to know the details.

Ethernet Hub, Ethernet Switch, Router, a computer using ICS?

#3 What software firewall, anti-virus software is on your computer?

#4 Post your modem stats.

This may be Troubleshooting -> Transceiver Stats.
