OK, I deleted everything on the server directory then uploaded my IWeb file. I did it using the file folder and got a 404 Oops! This link appears to be broken page. I then deleted the folder and uploaded the contents of the folder as individual files.. Still got the 404 code.

The FTP directory now looks like:

http://nisenson.com/assets.http%3A--mysite.verizon.net-vzeqo3x9-.plist
http://nisenson.com/assets.http%3A--mysite.verizon.net-vzeqo3x9-orinnisenson-.plist
http://nisenson.com/assets.http%3A--mysite.verizon.net-vzeqo3x9-orinnisenson-index.htm.plist
http://nisenson.com/assets.http%3A--mysite.verizon.net-vzeqo3x9-orinnisenson.plist
http://nisenson.com/assets.http%3A--nisenson.com.plist
http://nisenson.com/file____Users_orinnisenson_Desktop_orin_iweb_orin_iweb_Home.html/     (- a folder)
http://nisenson.com/http___mysite.verizon.net_vzeqo3x9_orinnisenson_index.htm/                   ( - a folder)
http://nisenson.com/index.html
http://nisenson.com/orin_iweb/      ( -a folder)

All 3 folder contain the same thing, the files for the web site.

iWeb is quirky and has such a strange way of doing things. Are you publishing to a folder on your computer and then uploading that entire folder, or are you trying to upload pieces of the folder in the root directory? (It looks like you're doing the latter.)

I used to use iWeb for a site of mine. It was pretty easy to create things, but the structure of the site (and the urls) was frustrating. And SEO is *horrible* when you use iWeb.

Well I solved the problem. In the end is turned out to be very easy to do. I moved my web site over to Go Daddy for hosting.

Go Daddy provided telephone support and within a very reasonable time my site was up and running.

When I first started to try to put my site on Verizon I increased the size of my Verizon site from 10 MB to 60 MB. Now that I have switched to Go Daddy I called Verizon to cancel the order to increase my web site size. The person at the billing office told me I would have to call DSL Billing. DSL Billing told me that I would have to call DSL Support Services. Support services told me that I need to call DSL Billing. After 45 minutes, mostly on hold, I was told they would need to get back to me.

It is clear to me that Verizon is not willing or capable of providing support for it’s services or products. It will be interesting to see what happens when people start calling for support for the iphone.

1. VZ Online and VZ Wireless are two different companies. The reps for one do not support the other.

2. Why not just cancel the additional personal webspace through the website? It's almost certainly what you'll eventually end up having to do anyway.
