New account connection problems...

First off....I can't log in to the website to "check your order status."  After arguing on the phone with verizon customer service, and refusing to let them take control of my computer to check the website (duh! you can log in with the data line number and last name from any computer and see it doesn't work-you don't need mine....) , anyway, I finally got the answer that the service was too new and wasn't updated in the records. 


I got an email two days ago saying the service was ready (early).  We couldn't connect, called, and were told the service wasn't really ready yet.  


Today is the "service ready date" and i got a phone call saying its ready.  We try again, no connection.  I still can't log in to the what's next website to check service/order status.


Any clues or solutions?


We have a Westell 6100, the Data light blinks, DSL light green steady, and the internet light is off.
