I have the lowest plan right now. 768k
I would like to upgrade, but EVERY plan is unavailable. Are the lines old? Or is it just an automated thing telling me I can't when I actually can?
I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I can't even get DSL because they tell us the lines are too old. I have heard that Verizon isn't going to be upgrading or fixing anything with their DSL, because they are trying to focus on Fios. I have also heard that Verizon isn't even expanding their Fios for the time being. Odds are, your lines are too old.
Either too old or you are too far from the CO to obtain faster speeds. You can always call CS and check with them incase the web page has incorrect or outdated info.
