Be warned that Verizon cameras are LOCKED and they won't release the usernames and passwords. If they did, you could take your cameras to use on other gateways like the Vera Lite if/when Verizon totally drops the system.

So, Yes, eBay and Craigs List are your best bet for finding used Verizon HM&C cameras. I've gotten some great deals on them through those sites (before I found out about the codes).

When I have some extra cash, I'm going to get a non-locked Schlege camera for my VHM&C system. These are the sameones that Verizon uses but they haven't been dumb-downed or locked.

Once I replace my cameras or Verizon releases the codes, I'm out of here!

you might try ebay.com , or get in touch with forum user "shaenn"......but really? you want more low-definition cameras (that should have audio enabled but don't) that take minutes to reset after a motion-activated recording has occurred, minutes that could include your flat screen being carried out right past the camera, but you'd not see it cuz it wasn't ready to record again yet.....? i'm just saying...also verizon wireless sent flyer to my house maybe 6 months ago that advertised hdcamera home monitoring and control with audio capability enabled, but only accessible through smartphone app and vzwireless acct, not fios and not viewable on fiostv or pc....good luck and happy hunting

well is there another mointoring system that is good. I had already invested in this so that was the only reason I was keeping it. But if there is something better and easy to install please let me know!

Thanks!!!

I like what I see about the Vera system and the Vera Lite Gateway. I don't have any firsthand knowage about it but everything I've read makes it sound like a great alternative. Once I replace my cameras I think that is the system I'll switch to next.
