ECB2500C No connection to STB

I have a MI424-WR router connected to two STBs. Both operate correctly when the ECB2500C is not in the loop. However, once I put the ECB2500C on the network, the STB connected to the OUT port of the ECB2500C no longer can connect to the network. It does have a cable signal though (i.e. I can watch TV from the STB). The network device connected to the Ethernet port of the ECB2500C does have network access. Any thoughts why the STB would not be connecting?

Thanks in advance.

I think you need a splitter in your configuration.  See the following FAQ for the ECB2500C

"Is the TV/STB an output only connection?
Yes, The TV/STB connection is for cable TV video RF frequency output only, not input."

Thought it had to be something like that. I used a splitter and everything worked perfectly. Thanks for the reply.
