Need Instructions for XP on computer workshops

I started taking the Home Networking "Introduction to Wireless Networking" lesson andn was surprised to see that all the instructions refer to only Windows 7.  Considering the large number of XP systems still out there, shouldn't there be an option to select the OS for which instruction to be given (including MAC)?  This would apply to all the computer lessons.

I have 3 XP systems (1 is a wireless laptop) and 1 Windows 7 64bit Pro laptop.  The XP laptop is old enough that it doesn't support WPA, only WEP.  However, it is still a valuable part of my network and is used in a business enviornment.

I agree that XP support really is a must. The reality is market penetration by both Windows 7 (which is really Vista with a new label) is remarkable for just how limited it is.

I look after a couple of web sites, and we track the O/S-Browser combination of our visitors. Of the top 15, 12 are XP based.

Windows NT6.1 (Windows 7) represent only 1.8% of the visitors

Windows NT6.0 (Vista) represents only 3.5% of the visitors.

So if the Introduction to  Wireless networking is going to be useful, it needs to cover Windows XP, because that is where the bulk of the users are.

I liked What I read about Windows XP OS I have a Net Purchased from Verizon It a a Gateway LT with the ability to use 3G / or WiFi at Barns & Nobles. I have a DSL connection in my Home but I am not  using the full potential of My DSL Modem-Network.

Yes there are Book. And I have chewed all the corners of the covers reading about file sharing and printer sharing. But appling it to my computers takes a Wizard with Magic Wand. But this is no good cause then I can not help anyone else how wants assistance. 🙂  I liked "What Judith Spitz said, (Verizon's Senior Vice President & "CIO" Chief Information Officer When an Issue deveoped I would put up a forum. As the Question surfaced answers were presented, then others would read the Forums to learn, reducing the Support required. I Wish I could find a Forum on E-mail forwarded from a Domain Account.

Thank You All.

Computers and Humans working together can solve Problems that neither can solve alone. How about that "Virtual Agent, Frank"
