Canceling verizon

What is the procedure for canceling my verizon fios.  Does a technician need to come to the house?

First, you need to call and talk to the person who's trained to talk you out of canceling.

You have to call them. You will be on hold for 40 minutes to 1 hour. When you finally get to talk to them they will try to talk you out of canceling. Don't believe anything they tell you. I have been dealing with them on a similar issue and all I have got from them are lies..........
