record voice mail

I am attempting to record voice mail stored on my personal answering machine using the services of a fee-based company, "Voicemailsforever."   The service is supposed to access the answering machine in the same manner as you access the machine from a remote location. Somehow, their service gets routed to Verizon FIOS digital mailbox after just one ring of the house telephone. The company representative agreed that I might have to disable FIOS digital voice mail to get at my own answering machine messages. I'm not sure if this will work, but will give it a try. Anyone with this kind of experience also?  I have successfully used the service to record the messages stored on Verizon wireless' server. That was easy and worked great - saved them as an MP3 file to my computer.         Thanks!
