Why I can't receive phone calls while on the internet with fios

does anyone know if there is an option to be able to receive calls while on the internet with fios? I just had my service installed and it was a four day nightmare.

You should be receiving your calls, regardless of who your service provider is. Is your telephone service with Verizon?

Yes it is. brand new service as of last Saturday.

How do you know you can't receive calls while on line? As I said, there is no reason you cannot receive your calls while on line. If you cannot, then call Verizon repair service.

The calls go straight to verizon voicemail. I have a phone next to the computer and a light will flash when a call goes to voicemail and the phone screen shows that I have a missed call.
