On today’s Up To Speed, host Andrew Testa got some Valentine’s Day help from our resident gadget guru George Koroneos.

V for V-Day tips

To set the mood, George suggests using Apple Music, which comes included with one of our premium unlimited plans. Make the perfect playlist ahead of time and enjoy the evening stress-free.

You’ll also want to experience that music via a good speaker. George likes the JBL Flip 5, which connects to your phone via Bluetooth for excellent audio quality no matter where you are.

Looking for a special gift for that special someone? Consider an upgrade to the new Galaxy S21+ and you can buy one and get one on Verizon. The camera is great for capturing low-light shots, including beautiful Valentine’s Day photos in candlelight.

For the parents who will be celebrating from home, remember that you get Discovery+, Disney+, Hulu, and more included with your premium unlimited plan. Try an innovative rom-com like WandaVision from Marvel and Disney on Disney+.

Are you curious about how others will be celebrating during this very unique year? Verizon recently commissioned a survey in partnership with Kelton Global.and discovered some interesting Valentine’s Day facts.

  • 19 million Americans will celebrate Valentine’s Day in their pajamas
  • 46 million Americans will mark the occasion by calling, texting or video chatting with loved ones
  • 7 million will go on a virtual date

Kind cards

The survey also found that one in four will send gifts or cards to those they can’t be with in person. If you’re one of those folks, Verizon’s Call for Kindness campaign has you covered. Check out the new Valentine’s Day-themed Kind cards that you can share with your family and friends at verizon.com/kindness.

And don’t forget to use #ACallforKindness to spread the love.
