Cannot Close Account - Still Being Charged - Help, Please

15-20 years ago signed up for Dialup, then kept it for 15 years just for the email address.

Can't believe I was paying $9.95 or $14.95 per month for years just for an email address, but I was.

In Dec. 2011 called to drop my account and was assured that the $14.95/mo would no longer be charged.

Well, now My Account shows that I dropped Dialup 12/11/11 but I'm still being charged.

I use Verizon for NOTHING. No cell phone (I use T-Mobile) and no internet connection (I use RCN).

How do I get this monkey off my back!

Grateful for any help or suggestions.
