I was socked with a $250 early termination fee for FIOS because it was not available at the home where we recently purchased. Verizon did have DSL available, so we opted for that as well as the home phone. We never use the home phone, as we all have cell phone plans. Not a happy camper. I'm to the point of canceling all Verizon services, and going to a different provider. I can purchase air cards for our laptops and get better speed with Sprint than the Verizon DSL we have now. Charging the early termination fee when Verizon doesn't even offer the service at the new location in my opinion is wrong.

I'm sorry you had trouble with this. Were you able to get the fee resolved via a call to support?
