No VzW tablet offers phone capabilities. I haven't heard whether third-party solutions (skype, google voice, fring, etc) work on them.

Sadly, if tablet-as-phone is a major feature to you, I don't think you have much choice for carriers in the USA. I *think* T-Mobile offers this feature but their coverage is honestly painful outside a few major metro areas.
