Who I have the same questioned this topic

I Dont understand the new Verizon data plan.  There are 4 of us on our bill. We have the old family plan that has unlimited msg and talk and then 30gb of data to share. Every other month due to my daughters usage (she uses 90% of the data and the rest of us use 1-2 fb if that) we get the alerts about "you have used 90% of your data around the 15-16th of the month and our end day is the 21st.  So I compared that plan with the "Verizon Plan" with unlimited text/talk and it recommends the XL plan (12gb) that would save us 60.00 a month.  What I don't get is, how can 12gb help us when we already use up 30gb in a month???  Is the data 12gb per person? Or 12gb to share? Please explain!
