Why can't I see the icon for an app I downloaded?

I downloaded the IMDb app to my Galaxy S6 Edge+, and I could have sworn that the app icon was on my home screen, but now I can't find it anywhere. This is strange, because:

  • when I look at all my icons, including those in groups, I can'f find an IMDb icon
  • I went to Apps/A-Z to sort the app icons alphabetically, looked at the sorted icons under I, and didn't see IMDb
  • but if I go to Settings/Applications/Applications Manager, the IMDb app is included in the list
  • and if I go to the App's page in Play Store, I see the Uninstall/Open buttons, indicating that I already have the App

I can still open the App from the Play Store page, and I suppose if I uninstalled/reinstalled it I would end up with an icon again.  But does anyone know a more direct way of recreating an icon from an app?  Thanks for any advice.
