Software updates should be simple and easy to install. Sorry to hear that this is not occurring. Lets try some additional steps to get this issue fixed. Soft Reset and power the device off/on before attempting an update. If still receiving the error, I would recommend backing up the device content and perform a Trusted Factory Data Reset without Auto-Restore through the device menu. Keep me posted with the results.
