Did you set up an SSO (Single Sign On) account using a Live Mail Passport?
It appears that is what it wanted as I signed on earlier with a Microsoft Passport at Verizon Central - a new sign process I'd never seen before. The directions are a little unclear as at first I thought it wanted to link the VZ signon to a Passport but if I follwed the other tab it just to me to the live mail passport creation page.

This problem is related to the My Verizon 2.0 launch.
engineers are working on the integration issues between Verizon.com and Verizon.net websites.
There's a workaround but it depends on which web browser you're using.
If using IE7/8..

My web email is not working; I am not receiving any email at all to my Web account. The Welcome address on the email page is {edited for privacy} This is not my email address; it should be {edited for privacy} How do I change it? The default From email address in the Setup section is correct; the email address in my Account is correct.
Also, a previous email indicated I should update my White List. How do I do that?

@Janet-RN wrote:My web email is not working; I am not receiving any email at all to my Web account. do you have outlook setup for your email? ..... If so, you would need to enable the option to "leave a copy of messages on the server" The Welcome address on the email page is {edited for privacy} If it is something like, RESXXXXXX or VZEXXXXX.. do not worry about that, it is a Verizon identifier, only you and Verizon should be able to see that.. This is not my email address; it should be {edited for privacy} How do I change it? The default From email address in the Setup section is correct; the email address in my Account is correct.
Also, a previous email indicated I should update my White List. How do I do that? on the left hand side of the webmail, under "My settings", clik on "Mail" ... and in the middle of the screen is the "Blocking" Tab.... in there is the BLOCK SENDERS LIST and the SAFE LIST

I have generally been unable to log in to Verizon webmail from Bellevue WA for several days. I am using a DSL modem using Qwest service. At my Verizon home base, I use Verizon FIOS.
Here is what happens when I try to log in. At the Verizon log in page, I see the young man at his lap top, and I have the login prompts for userid and password. The userid and password (they are remembered by my browser. I click on "sign in," and the internet access briefly takes place without changing the web page. The "done" status appears at the bottom left of the window, and I am still at the log in page. This same process happens from two different browsers, Firefox and IE. Although this happens most of the time, every once in a while I am granted access to my webmail account. Since I am using the remembered userid and password, this confirms that they are correct.
The symptoms look like webmail is redirecting its access back to the log in screen instead of opening access to my account. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I am now exclusively using Verizon Webmail on both my desktop (Vista) and laptop (XP). I need to get in to Outlook Express on my laptop to change the setting so it will leave a copy of the emails on Webmail. My Outlook Express automatically connects to the internet and and checks for new messages and will pull my emails from Webmail. How do I get in to OE to change the setting without connecting?

I'm having the same problem, except I'm getting red xs in blank boxes instead of pictures. I can see the pictures by clicking on attachments or the slideshow. However, sometimes you want to see the picture next to the words, especially if there are many pictures. My sister can use my computer and go to her email and get the pictures from the same person who sent them to me too. I have SHOW IMAGES marked in my email settings. We both had no problem getting pictures when with Comcast as after many complaints from people Comcast sent the entire email as an attachment. Comcast did at first have this problem with pictures not showing in the body of the email. If you google this red xs instead of images , you will see many people have the problem. My problem I can't understand as my sister gets her email from my computer and gets the pictures, but I can't get the exact same pictures sent to me by the same person who sent my sister the same email.

There are two ways you can accomplish this:
1. Open Internet Explorer and Choose File, Work Offline. When you open outlook express it should be offline as well.
or
2. Open Control Panel, Choose Network Connections, Choose the Wired or Wireless Connection (which ever one you are currently using) and right click on it and select Disable. Then you can open outlook express and change your settings.
If you go off line you will need to uncheck work offline (option 1) or right click on the network connection and enable (option 2)
