Email Security Settings Change--using Thunderbird

I tried to post this message in the main discussion with the above title but I could not figure out how to do it.

Just as I expected from Verizon, when I visited the "changeemailsettings" page referenced in the email I got on this subject, my email software, Thunderbird, was not listed.  AFAIK thunderbird is quite popular....but I guess Verizon has not yet figured that out.  Thunderbird has only been around for, what, 10 years?

Anyway, can someone tell me what to click on to change OUTGOING settings?

To change INCOMING settings, in Thunderbird, I clicked on TOOLS, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS. then on SERVER SETTINGS for one of my Verizon email accounts.  That brought up a page where I could change the name and port number of INCOMING email.  But I cannot find anyplace to change OUTGOING settings.

Thanks in advance.

There are a number of threads here in the Forums that cover the Thunderbird settings in detail, with images.

Ahh, excellent.  Many thanks.  Didn't think to look there.
