Unable to send mail using SMTP outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net, error message says unable to connect to server. Can receive mail through POP incoming yahoo.verizon.net.
Using Windows Live mail 2011.

Try changing your SMTP port to the alternate, secure port. In the past Verizon did block Port 25 but I'm unsure if it were a global block for all mail servers or if it was just a block to only allow Verizon's servers to communicate on Port 25. Anyways, that should fix the problem up.
Port 465 is the port you want to use. SSL is required for this port!
