Verizon Message Center Folders on Samsung S4

Two Questions pertaining to using Verizon Email on a Samsung Galaxy S4:

  1. Is it possible to have my Verizon Message Center Email Folders show up with the stock Android Email App? I would like to file my emails on my S4 into one of the folders created within the mail.verizon.com email message center.
  2. Why does the sync feature only work with emails located within the inbox, but not the sent folder? In other words, if I send an email via mail.verizon.com, it does not show up within the sent the emails on the S4, and vice versa for the other condition.

welcome to the world of a pop server. They do not function they way you want. You would need to move to a imap server like gmail for the functionality you are looking for.

Thank you. Verizon email is not what i though it was, this is pretty useless and behind the times.

But what i do not understand is that Verizon does have IMAP, right?

SMTP Server (Outgoing Messages)outgoing.verizon.net 587
IMAP Server (Incoming Messages)incoming.verizon.net 143

Not sure where you got that from, but it will never work.

SMTP Server (Outgoing Messages)smtp.verizon.net 465
POP Server (Incoming Messages)pop.verizon.net 995

NO IMAP, so POP server.  And SSL, plain text password.

You probably want to set no deleting from server on your S4 and some delay, eg 14 days, on your PC/MAC because its a POP server not a IMAP server.
