I want to switch to wan ethernet but im curious to if the connection will be the same the coax boasts some frequency in MHz if i get the right ethernet cable will i have to worry about that like if i get cat 6 or 7 and what is the ont ethernet port limited to is is a gigabit port

Not sure what you are trying to ask. Ethernet is only needed if you internet speed is an tier over 75 megs or you want to use your own router.

well is there any difference of using a coax vs ethernet for wan for quality or speeds and bandwidth or whatever are they the same or is one better

and is the ethernet port on the ont a gigabit port because i want to know if there is any benefit to getting a higher grade ethernet wire

Hi iv been with verizon fios for 8 yrs,i have 1gig router my speeds 153/75 and i use cat6 for evrything ,and yes it has 1gig port inside the ont,and it is fast i can download a 2gig hd movie in 2min.
