This site is simple, accurate and convenient and the test will check the connection speed of your device to the internet. While on the site, you may click on the icons on the upper right side of the page for important information like the Verizon Quick Guides, the Fios Optimizer Tool which sets the configuration of your PC for fast Internet speeds, and the Network Diagnostic Tool which performs a test that checks your settings to see if you need to run the optimizer.
Please remember that all Fios speeds are best achieved while using a wired connection. Speeds will vary if you’re using a Wi-Fi connection and will not give you an accurate reading.
Here are a few pro tips to make sure you get the best results during your test:
- Connect your computer directly to your router using an Ethernet cable
- Disconnect from any VPNs
- Avoid using video or music streaming apps
And here’s some other things that could affect your test results:
- Multiple devices on your home network during testing
- The processor speed of the device you’re using
- This test is intended to measure your results on your home network, and should not be used on public Wi-Fi or cellular networks
