Problem using my Ipod Touch

I have Fios with the Actiontec MI424-WR. I can connect to it with my Ipod Touch. I can brouse the web with Safari, go to Apple's App Store however I cannot download apps, it just says waiting. If I click on the app "Weather" it says "Updating..." then after a while it says update failed. When I click on the app YouTube it shows "Loading..." but after a while a alert box comes up saying "Cannot connect to YouTube". The App Mail has no problems connecting and getting my mail from Yahoo. Google Maps also works fine. Logmein works fine as well.

If I fire up WMWiFiRouter on my HTC diamond which creates a local WiFi hotspot using the Sprint network all work fine and instantly. If I go to my local Starbucks all works fine as well. At work I connect to the internet via my Mac Mini's WiFi connection and all works fine. I am only having problems at home with my Actiontec modem. Why?

Lets call this case closed.

I called Verizon and got the "reset the modem" answer. I told him that I turned the modem off for 5 hours and he said to a hard reset. I said wont I lose my settings? He said yes but also showed me how to save my configuration. Ordinarily I would poo-poo such an answer, like computer support people saying "reinstall the operating system" however, consider the configuration mess that this modem has to offer I figured, why not?

Reset modem and guess what, Ipod Touch connected with all Apps! Slowly began reintroducing all the port forwarding crap. When I introduced the QoS logic for my VOIP, problem with Ipod reapeared, So I decided that I really did not need QoS boost for my VOIP since my connection (30/5) is fast enough.

Have you typed in the correct WEP key?  Its found underneath the Verizon router.  Along with the wep key, you should also notice the name of the router which is labeled essid.

I have an iTouch myself so I should be able to help you out if you are still having issues.  Feel free to send me a private message!

I obviousy did type in the correct WEP key since as I mentioned in my post that I can browse with Safari and Google maps works like a champ as does Apple's App store. YouTube shows "Loading" and after a while says "Cannot connect to YouTube" and Weather shows "Updating..." and then after a while says "Update failed".I tried changing the DNS to one of the public ones, same results.

I went to my daughter's apartment and had no problems with my Ipod Touch connecting to her Actiontec/fios modem. When I came home I had the same problem as before. I checked some of the logs. Does anything here make any sense to anyone?

(the 192.168.1.4 is my Ipod Touch, attempts were made to access the "weather" app and the YouTube App)
