Hello,

Just had a Quantum Fios 150/150 installation yesterday with the FiOS Quantum Gateway. I was able to succesfully connect to the default network and reanmed the SSID the WPA2 Password. However I am unable to access any webpages other than myfiosgateway.com while on the network. I used the diagnositic tools and was able to ping 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and was hoping somewone mught have a suggestion on what to try next?

Thanks,

Dylan

Starting to think it might be a DNS issue after doing more googling. Anyone have luck with changing the default DNS to google's (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4) ?

First question that always comes to mind:   What type device are you using and are you connected to your router via WiFi or Ethernet cable?

If you're not already doing so, to eliminate local WiFi problems, speedtests should first be conducted with a hardwired connection.

In answer to your second post, yes, I've used Googles DNS server, as have other posters here, but normally I have best service with Verizon's own DNS servers.

You might use the DNS Bench utility from GRC to see which DNS server is best at your location:

Solution:
Was stuck behind a proxy until I signed their terms of service. Wish Verizon put that link on their installation documents.

Verizon has a walled garden until the terms of service are accepted. When you open your web browser you should have been redirected to the activation page.
