Hello,

I am suppose to be getting 25/25 acorrding to my contract, but instead I'm getting 25+/9-.

The inhome agent is showing my upload speed is 5mb and speedtest is showing 8mb. I am suppose to be getting 25mb upload speeds.

I'm new to fios so all recommendations are welcome.

My equipment:

MI424WR-GEN2

Hardware Version: E

Firmware Version: 20.10.7

Thank You

make sure you are using a wired connection to test

not wireless.

make sure you are using the verizon speedtest   http://speedtest.veizon.net

and make sure you optimize your router at http://www.verizon.net/optimize

My pc is wired to my network.

the speedtest.verizon.net link does not work for me in firefox or ie8.

after running optimization and restart, there is no difference in upload speed.

Is there anything else I can do?

new equipment maybe??

any suggestions?

Thank You

some versions of firefox don't do the high upload speeds.  so try your best to get a good working test on internet explorer.  it sounds like it might be your browser though.   there isn't additional verizon equipment that speeds up your upload.

For the Verizon speed test and many others to operate, you must have Java loaded on your PC. If you have anything blocking Java or Java scripts the speed test will not work with IE or Firefox. You may also have issues with the optimizer.

Also I just helped another user that was running an older Version of Firefox that had upload speed issues. He installed the latest Version and fixes the problem. But if you have the same issue with IE, I would say that is not your issue. Many speed test sites choke on FiOS upload speeds, so you should use Verizon's test.

If you are using windows vista or 7 you may also want to double check the above link.  microsoft at one time had a problem with handling the upload speeds as well, so it may be that issue still rearing it's ugly little head.

also get a friend with a laptop that can bring it over, if you don't have any pc's that can run a good working test on internet explorer.

If you can duplicate it on his machine after optimizing him, you might be a step or two closer to finding your problem.

I downloaded this hotfix but wasn't able to install it. The update does not apply to your system.

My pc is not the problem, it's more than capable of running a good working test on internet explorer.

ASUS P5Q Pro MB w/Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz

Crucial DDR2 1066Mhz 8gig ram
ASUS GTX260

Intel PRO 100/M nic

I can't even get inhome agent to give me a good test??

actually inhome agent performs much lower that speedtest.net.

I'll keep searching for a solution!!

Thank You
