I do not feel the movie channels are no longer worth the money. You show the same movies month after month all day and afternoon. Netflix charges me $8.45 a month and I can watch different movies all day...With all the movies that come out, why am I paying all this money to see repeats for several months.

How about a response to this from Verizon!!!!!

I am not from Verizon, but...

Verizon does not control the content on movie channels.  If a customer subscribes to HBO, Cinemax, or any of the others they get what those content providers put out. The content providers air a lot of repeats because they are cheaper than new content.  Without the repeats the cost of movie package prices would become as exorbitant as movie theater prices.

Whether or not the movie channel is worth the money is an individual decision. Each customer has to make that decision and then choose to subscribe or not subscribe.

Does that sentence mean you think they are worth the money?  Hard to tell.  However I do agree that the selection is at times quite lame.

You need to first understand that  while Verizon delivers the channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.), it's the channels that deliver the content.  If you are unhappy with the content (still hard to tell), take it up with HBO, Showtime, etc.

BTW, let us know how you make out.  I am not looking forward to 403 reruns  of "Die Hard With A Vengeance."

I agree. My FiOS bill has increased from $145 to $200 per month during the past year. I think it's time to drop HBO and save $20 per month.

What do you honestly expect them to say!?!?!?! Seriously. Verizon does not control the content of the movie channels (i.e. Verizon is NOT showing the same movies over and over as you claim, the movie channels are) and nobody is forcing you to subscribe and pay for them.

You think this is idiotic, you should see the other thread on this board criticizing FiOS for having too many shows featuring dead actors and actresses. I'm not making that up.
