4100 Box Missing Digital Audio Port, Says I Need Fios Gateway

It seems the 4100 Box does not have the digital audio port (hole) that the previous box had.. and it is saying i need a FIOS gateway router

The 4100 has optical digital audio out, no coaxial (RCA). You need the Fios router to get TV guide info and access to the 2 Verizon 4K channels and for system updates. There are workarounds,  check here for them. If you MUST have coaxial digital audio, you'll have to get an optical to coaxial audio adapter.
