HD Set Top Box Hangs When Using Guide or Changing Channels

I have two HD STB's with DVR's.  Lately when viewing the Guide and trying to change channels within the guide the STB's hang for about 30 seconds before changing the channel.  This is happening on both of my HD/DVR STB's.  I have had Verizon tech support reset the boxes and router but this is still happening.  For some reason the guide is slow to respond or something.  I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so what I can do to remedy it.  It is getting painful to use the guide.  I also assume I have the latest version, whatever that is in Howard County, MD.  Thanks for any info.

I am STILL having these problems on my 7232's. Verizon seems completely clueless on how to fix the problem.

Bobbo...I saw that thread after I posted here.  It looks like there was no resolution there.  Hopefully a newer thread will get someone's attention??  Probably not but worth a try...

If by "someone" you mean Verizon, this is a peer-to-peer forum and although sometimes a Verizon employee will respond, on this issue don't expect anything of substance.  I believe they are aware of the issue and are workin it.  As usual, that doesn't mean much.  I don't think they want to officially touch this problem with a ten foot pole.

Yes, mine "Hangs" too. Aggravating. Now when I go to watch something that I have DVR'd, the box shuts down. What next ???

My two HD DVRs used to work very well.  Fairly recently I started experiencing the same issue you metnioned.
